Income Streams

How are the numerous and various Jannah Network projects funded?

All of our projects obviously require financial backing. However, the Network is committed to providing gratuitous services. Alhamdulillah, we are able to balance our budget without collecting public donations. In our initial history, we had collected donations from a couple individuals. The Network itself founded itself on the $20 for web hosting fees provided by the Hossain Family.

It is only from the Infinite Mercy of Allah Ta’ala that we are able to sustain ourselves. For instance, in our first year of existence, a brother from the RoadtoJannah Forums (now transferred to IslamicBoard Forums) requested we pray for his upcoming job interview. We advised him to donate or promise a portion of his salary/bonus to a charitable cause, not at all hinting towards ourselves. Long story short, he was admitted to the job and fulfilled his promise by donating $1,500 to the Jannah Network.

There are numerous examples of the generosity within our community such as the one mentioned above. Alhamdulillah, we now receive our financial backing solely from advertising and marketing space on our websites. With a diversely-skilled team of volunteers, we’ve been able to produce a large number of projects at minimal costs.

Soon after our acquiring of IslamicBoard Forums, we began producing our own advertisement revenue and no longer accept public donations. As an alternative, the Network launched JannahRelief.com, a communal effort to raise funds for the less fortunate. We raised $515 for the Haiti disaster, processed and accredited by Ummah Welfare Trust.
